Revolut Business operates as a digital multi-currency account accessible through the Revolut web dashboard and mobile app.² Users can send, receive, and exchange funds through the account.
Users can receive funds in their local currency accounts and use the collected funds to make further payments, avoiding a conversion. If the currency balance is insufficient, Revolut converts from another currency in the account at the rate applicable to the business’s plan.³
Currency conversion within the plan’s included monthly allowance is offered at the interbank rate.³ Once the allowance is used, a percentage fee applies, with a higher rate during weekends and outside standard market hours.³ Businesses can issue physical and virtual cards to team members, apply spending limits per card, and integrate transaction data with accounting platforms such as Xero.²
Revolut Business supports holding 25-30 currencies, depending on the plan.² Businesses receive local and international account details for AUD and other major currencies including GBP, EUR, USD, which can be used to receive payments.² Each plan includes a monthly currency conversion allowance, with fees applied beyond that allowance.³
Revolut issues both physical and virtual business cards.⁴ Cards support payments in 150+ currencies where accepted, and businesses can set spending limits, freeze cards and monitor transactions from the dashboard.⁴ The Basic plan includes up to three physical cards and up to 200 virtual cards per member.⁴
Bulk payments are supported on higher-tier plans, allowing businesses to upload payment files in CSV, XML or BACS format with up to 1,000 entries.⁵ This feature is not included in the Basic plan.³
Revolut Business integrates with accounting tools including Xero, allowing businesses to sync transactions, automate expense categorisation and reconcile payments.²
Businesses can use Revolut’s local and international account details to receive payments from marketplaces and payment processors that support direct bank transfers.² Revolut does not publish a specific list of supported marketplace partners.
It also offers a range of tools for accepting customer payments, including invoices, payment links, online checkout, in-person card acceptance and Point of Sale.6 Businesses can send invoices, share payment links with customers, and accept payments through an online store or in-person via a card reader or Point of Sale terminal.6 Revolut Pay is also available as a checkout option for merchants accepting online payments.6
