The off-grid brewery making beer sustainable

For the founders of Rocky Ridge Brewery Co in Western Australia, business should never come at the expense of the environment or shareholders.

Brewery

Founders of Rocky Ridge Brewery Co, Hamish Coates, Mel Holland and Colin Coates, launched the business in 2017 on the family property that goes back five generations. Having grown up on the land and passionate about sustainability, their mission was to 'brew better beer in a better way'.

For them, growing the brand and business shouldn't come at the expense of the environment or employees and they've managed to expand while remaining fully carbon neutral. Fiercely independent, they don't rely on external investment or shareholders, allowing them to make decisions that take into account their ethos and mission. The brewery is also off-grid for power, water and wastewater.

By partnering with WorldFirst for international business transfers, Rocky Ridge was able to cut down communication with suppliers while streamlining operations and accessing competitive market rates.
