Managing your finances just got easier and smarter with the newest updates to your World Account. Stay on top of your funds with the Low Balance Alert and streamline your collections with the OCBC Virtual Account. Plus, the newly launched FX Centre puts you in control of your currency exchanges.

1. Low balance alert now launched

WorldFirst’s low balance alert is here, exclusive to World Card users. Get real-time notifications when your funds dip below a specified threshold, so you can top up your account in time and avoid disruptions.

What’s the low balance alert?

Low balance alert helps you to stay on top of your World Card balance by sending you a notification when it drops below a threshold you set. You can customise these alerts directly from the World Card settings within your dashboard and define everything – from thresholds and frequency to delivery method.

Here’s how to personalise your alerts:

Set thresholds: Choose the balance amount that will trigger a notification (minimum US$100 equivalent)
Pick your currencies: Add alerts for any currencies you hold
Choose frequency: Receive alerts once, daily, weekly, or every two weeks
Select delivery: By default, alerts are sent to your account’s registered mobile number but you can change this to another verified number

2. OCBC Virtual Account (VA) launched

Launched in early October, the new OCBC Virtual Account (VA) gives WorldFirst customers another way to receive and manage funds globally. In addition to Citibank and JP Morgan, this OCBC integration provides a multi-currency account that supports 14 currencies: SGD, USD, EUR, AUD, JPY, GBP, CNH, HKD, CAD, NZD, CHF, SEK, DKK, NOK – making cross-border collections even more flexible.

One-stop account management: Manage your OCBC virtual account alongside existing WorldFirst multi-currency accounts in one dashboard for visibility and easy management
Zero fee payouts and FX conversions: Enjoy free transfers for OCBC business accounts and OCBC personal accounts (coming soon)
