WorldFirst customer reviews
Here are some recent Trustpilot reviews from WorldFirst customers.
Fast, thorough onboarding
The process was very smooth, yet very thorough. We were able to open our World First account quickly by providing our documents and completing the necessary verifications. Our account manager was very quick to communicate and answer our questions. We had a call to go over features and benefits that we needed, and they provided us with the next steps. Cannot be happier about the work performed and progress we’ve made so far.

Features of the World Account
The World Account brings together several tools businesses use to run cross-border operations from a single dashboard.
Send payments
Send payments in 100+ currencies to 200+ countries and regions. Wherever possible, payments route through local payment rails rather than the SWIFT correspondent bank chain, so transfers arrive faster with lower FX costs.
Receive payments
To receive funds in your World Account, use local receiving accounts in 20+ currencies. Share the local bank details with international customers, marketplaces or payment gateways so they can pay you as if the transaction were domestic to their country. Received funds land in the original currency, ready to hold or convert at your chosen time.
Physical and virtual business payment cards
The World Card is a Mastercard-powered business payment card supporting payments in 150+ currencies. Zero foreign exchange fees apply when paying in any of the 15 supported currencies, provided sufficient balance is held in that currency. Up to 20 virtual cards can be issued per account at no additional cost, useful for team spending, expense categorisation, ad platform budgets and supplier payments. Cashback is available on eligible spending (Terms and Conditions Apply).
Fix a future FX rate
Forward contracts let you lock in an exchange rate today for a payment scheduled up to 24 months in the future. Rate Alerts also help by tracking specific currency pairs and notifying you when the market reaches a target rate.
Manage team and accounts
Add team members to the account with role-based permissions. Set up spending limits and approval workflows so different team members can handle different parts of the payment process without needing full account access. Multi-user access supports finance teams, external accountants and business partners working together in the same account.
Integrate accounting software
The World Account integrates with Xero and NetSuite so multi-currency transactions sync automatically to your accounting records. This cuts down manual reconciliation and reduces the risk of errors when tracking foreign currency income and expenses across the year.
Pay 1688.com suppliers
For businesses sourcing from Alibaba’s B2B wholesale platform, World Pay is the authorised international payment provider for 1688.com. Connect your World Account to your 1688 buyer account and pay Chinese suppliers directly in CNH from your World Account balance. Transfers to 1688 suppliers are typically instant.
Is WorldFirst safe?
WorldFirst is regulated across the markets it operates in and uses multiple layers of security to protect user accounts and funds.
- Regulation: WorldFirst operates under the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) through the Payment Services Act
- Two-factor authentication (2FA): Every account login, payee creation and transaction requires a second verification through a separate channel. This can be a six-digit one-time password sent via SMS, or an approval through the Authy authenticator app
- 256-bit encryption: Customer data and funds are protected with 256-bit encryption, the same standard used by leading financial institutions. This encryption makes it effectively impossible for unauthorised parties to intercept or decode account information during transmission.
- Real-time fraud monitoring: WorldFirst runs continuous fraud monitoring in the background. Suspicious activity, such as logins from unusual locations or transaction patterns outside normal behaviour, triggers additional verification steps or blocks the activity outright.
- 3D Secure on card payments: World Card transactions are protected by 3D Secure (branded as Mastercard Identity Check). Online payments trigger a one-time verification code sent to the cardholder’s registered mobile number, adding a second layer of authentication before the payment is authorised.
Open a World Account
For businesses handling international payments as part of daily operations (paying overseas suppliers, receiving international customer payments, collecting from global marketplaces, running cross-border team spending), the World Account combines multi-currency accounts, cards, FX tools and payment infrastructure in one platform.
Account opening is fully online, with no account opening fee, no minimum balance requirement, and no ongoing monthly fee.
