You are able to receive payments from popular freelancer platforms, withdraw funds to your local bank account and pay for day-to-day operation expenses using World Card.
If you would like to top up your WorldFirst Account from your own bank account, or pay to your overseas supplier’s bank account via bank transfer, you will need to upgrade your account. Click here to check out how to upgrade your account.
You'll need to provide proof of ID that includes:
- Full name
- Photo
- Date of birth
- Nationality
- Proof of residential address (within the last 3 months)
- Current ID number with at least 6 months' validity
This could include any combination of:
- National ID card
- Voter's ID
- Driving licence
- Multi-purpose ID
- Tax ID card
- Passport
- Birth certificate
- Postal ID
- Utility bill
You're also required to upload freelance profile URLs and screenshots belonging to Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer or any of the other 4 accepted platforms. LinkedIn or Facebook profiles won't be accepted.

You can top-up your World Account with funds from your own bank account to make FX conversions and payouts to another party abroad. For UK businesses, you can top-up your account in GBP via direct debit. Please note that the bank account must have the same owner as the WorldFirst account.
