Airwallex offers two distinct card types, each suited to different use cases.⁶
Company cards are issued in the company’s name and used on behalf of the whole business, a department or a team. Card details are visible to all card admins. Company cards are available as virtual cards.⁶
Employee cards are issued to individual team members for purchases such as travel, meals or supplies. Employee cards can be virtual or physical. Admins can set spending limits and freeze or cancel cards, but the card details themselves are not visible to admins.⁶
The number of free company and employee cards available depends on the Airwallex subscription plan. The Free plan includes 10 free company cards and 5 free spend users per month. Paid plans offer more cards and additional features.³
When you pay in a currency you hold a sufficient balance in, the Airwallex Corporate Card debits that wallet directly with no currency conversion fee.⁵ If you don’t have enough balance in the purchase currency, Airwallex converts from your base currency at the prevailing FX rate, plus a conversion fee.⁵

The Airwallex Corporate Card is linked to the Airwallex multi-currency account, which lets businesses in Singapore collect and hold funds in 20+ currencies.² Holding funds in the currencies you transact in most often means card spend can happen without a conversion step, provided your balance is sufficient.
Airwallex offers 3D Secure (3DS) authentication for online card transactions. The added verification step is designed to reduce fraud on card-not-present purchases.⁴

The application process is pretty straightforward
The World Card is a Mastercard-powered business payment card from WorldFirst, designed for Singapore businesses that spend across borders. The multi-currency card supports payments in 150+ currencies and can be used anywhere Mastercard is accepted, online or in-store.
The World Card is linked to the World Account, which is a multi-currency account that lets Singapore businesses open local currency accounts with local bank details in 20+ currencies, including SGD, MYR, THB, USD, CNH, EUR, GBP, AED, AUD and HKD. Businesses can hold, send and convert funds across these currencies from a single dashboard, and use the World Card to spend directly from those balances.
When you spend in a currency you hold a balance in any of the 15+ supported currencies, there are no foreign exchange fees. If your balance is insufficient, the card converts from your base currency at WorldFirst’s exchange rate.
