FAQs
New customers get a discounted exchange fee for the first 180 days after opening and verifying an account. You'll receive an exclusive 0.3% foreign exchange fee (usually 0.5% – T&Cs apply).
It's available to new customers in the UK who open and verify a World Account during the offer period.
It's not available if you already have a WorldFirst account, applied before the offer period or register outside the UK.
You'll need to open and verify an account between 11 February 2026 and 31 December 2026 (both days inclusive) to qualify.
The offer applies to currency conversions between: AUD, CAD, CNH, EUR, GBP, HKD, JPY, NZD, SGD, USD.
This covers common business payments such as sending international payments, scheduling payments in advance and converting between currencies – all with settlement within two business days.
The discounted fee is applied automatically once your account is set up and verified. It then stays active for 180 days from that date.
Your exchange rate is based on the live mid-market market rate, plus the discounted 0.3% FX fee.
Suppose you want to exchange £10,000 to USD. Without the promo offer, (0.5% FX fee applied) you'd pay £50 in fees. With the promo offer (0.30% FX fee applied), you pay £30 in fees, saving you 40% on your fees.
The exchange rate is the real-time interbank rate with an FX fee included. The actual rate offered to you when making a payment will be confirmed before booking the payment.
No, there are no minimum or maximum transfer amounts, and no limits on the number of transfers you can make during your first 180 days. You'll receive the discounted fee every time you send money.
