FAQs
The World Card is a business virtual card linked to your World Account. It lets you pay suppliers, platforms and service providers directly from your multi-currency account balance.
Use your World Card to:
- Pay suppliers like Aliexpress and Alibaba who accept card payments, instead of relying on bank transfers
- Set up recurring payments for software tools and subscriptions
- Pay for digital ads on platforms like Meta, Google and TikTok
- Cover travel and accommodation bookings
Since it’s a multi-currency card, no FX fees will apply when you pay in 16 major currencies from your existing balances.
No foreign transaction fees are charged when transacted in these currencies, provided you hold enough balance: SGD, MYR, USD, CNH, EUR, GBP, JPY, HKD, AUD, NZD, CAD, CHF, CZK, MXN, PLN, SEK
If you transact in one of these 16 currencies and you hold sufficient balance in that currency in your World Account, the balance will be deducted from the currency balance.
World Cards can be issued to verified directors or authorised non-directors of your business. The main user of the World Account can select themselves or one of these individuals as the cardholder.
If another director is selected, we may ask for verification details (ID, residential address) for a quick check, usually completed within one working day.
Only the main user can currently add or manage a card online, but sub-users will be able to do so soon.
You need a verified WorldFirst account with onboarding completed to apply and a minimum of USD100 (or equivalent) balance in the account.
Physcial cards are currently not available.
Unlike many prepaid or bank-issued cards, the World Card draws directly from your currency wallets – meaning no foreign transaction fees when you pay in a supported currency. You also earn up to 1.0% cashback on every eligible payment. It’s designed to be the best multi-currency card for growing businesses that make flexible and fast international transactions.
