What is WorldRemit?

WorldRemit is a digital money transfer provider that enables customers to send money internationally through its website and mobile app.2 It supports international transfers in 70 currencies, with available services varying by sending and receiving market.1

Available delivery methods can include bank transfer, mobile money, cash pickup and airtime top-up.2 The sender can select the destination, amount and available receive method before completing the transfer.2

How does WorldRemit work?

The sender on WorldRemit creates and verifies theor account, then selects the destination country and transfer amount.3 Thereafter, they choose an available delivery method such as bank transfer, mobile money or cash pickup, and pay using an eligible card or other supported payment method.3

WorldRemit then sends the money to the recipient through the selected local payout method.3 The recipient does not need a WorldRemit account, and the delivery time depends on the destination and receive method.3
