Frequently asked questions
Transitioning to a World Account
I have just received the email from Currencies Direct and I want to go ahead and register with WorldFirst. How should I proceed?
To register with WorldFirst, please click on the ‘Sign up now’ button above.
I don’t know much about WorldFirst, how do I know that my money is safe?
At WorldFirst, we don’t lend or combine your money. All customer funds are kept in separate accounts and only held with Tier 1 banks. This means your money is safeguarded in line with regulatory requirements.
I gave Currencies Direct permission to share my data, do I still need to register with WorldFirst?
Yes, WorldFirst needs to perform its own due diligence on your account as it is regulated. Even if Currencies Direct has shared your data, you’ll still need to register for a World Account.
How long will it take to get my WorldFirst account ready?
Once you sign-up for your account and have completed the relevant checks, you will be able to use your account straight away.
Can I withdraw from my WorldFirst account to my bank?
Yes, you can withdraw to your personal or business bank account as soon as you have added your own account as a payee.
Will WorldFirst automatically convert my Amazon funds to GBP?
As a customer of WorldFirst, you’ll have to connect your Amazon account to your local bank account. If you’re selling on Amazon UK, you would link it to your GBP account. Similarly, if you sell on Amazon EU, you would link it to your EUR account. This way, any money you make gets deposited directly into your local account. Funds are deposited locally without any FX conversion charge to you.
I had an account with you, do I need to re-register?
If you had/have an account with us at WorldFirst, we will need to check if you just need to provide additional information to unlock your account or if you need to re-register. Please contact customer services on 020 7801 1065.
