Who we are

WorldFirst was born back in 2004 by two innovators in a South London basement armed with ten years of banking experience, an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to provide customers a real alternative to the big banks. Since then, we’ve grown exponentially and with a global team around 600 strong, have become a market-leading, multi-award winning, bank-beating, rapidly-growing, fun-loving international payments company.

What first attracted you to the position here?

The business model of World First caught my attention, the idea of offering a more affordable option other than banks for SMEs sparked my interest in joining the team.

What do you enjoy about your role?

The exposure to various aspects of the actual operation helps me to understand more about the international payment business. It helps me to become a more independent problem solver as well.

What was the biggest surprise when you joined World First?

Free beer and casual dress code on Fridays, last but not least: friendly supervisors!

Any advice for grads?

Joining an energetic and fast-growing organization could be a great start for your careers, be more open-minded when looking for a graduate job.

What first attracted you to the position here?

I was impressed by the Talk to a real person in 3 rings - never a machine on the website. What company provides such a high level of customer service nowadays!

What do you enjoy about your role?

My role is totally in line with my interests in finance and client services.

What was the biggest surprise when you joined World First?

The working environment is very different from what I imagined before I graduated. Everyone is so nice and always willing to help.

Any advice for grads?

Don't mind starting at an entry level position. World First is growing rapidly and there are plenty of opportunities. It's important to master all tasks - big or small, earnestly.
