‘Goal’ Beyond Payments Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions (these “Terms and Conditions“) govern the Promotion (as defined below). By participating in the Promotion, you confirm that you accept these Terms and Conditions and agree to comply with them.

 

1. Description of the Promotion

During the Promotion Period, a New User who has successfully opened a World Account with WorldFirst and has applied the following invitation code as part of the registration process: WFGOAL24, may be eligible to receive the WorldFirst New User’s Reward in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The meaning of all defined terms used in this paragraph can be found below.

 

2. Promotion Period

The promotion period is from 00:00:01 (London time) on 19 March 2024 to 23:59:59 (London time) on 26 April 2024 (the “Promotion Period“).

 

3. New User

A person who is registered in any of the countries or regions set out in the “Relevant Countries and Regions” section below (together, the “Relevant Countries and Regions“) that has successfully opened a World Account with WorldFirst (which for the purposes of these Terms and Conditions shall mean (a) World First UK Limited where the New User is registered in the United Kingdom Account Regions (as defined below), (b) World First Netherlands B.V. where the New User is registered in the European Account Regions (as defined below), (c) Alipay Merchant Services Pte. Ltd. where the New User is registered in the Southeast Asian Account Regions (as defined below) or (d) World First Pty Ltd where the New User is registered in the Australia and New Zealand Account Regions (as defined below) (“WorldFirst”)) and has applied the following invitation code as part of the registration process: WFGOAL24, can be a new user for the purposes of the Promotion (a “New User“).

 

4. Relevant Countries and Regions

4.1 United Kingdom Account Regions

The countries or regions supported by the account service offered by World First UK Limited from time to time (the “United Kingdom Account Regions”).

 

4.2 European Account Regions

The countries or regions supported by the account service offered by World First Netherlands B.V. from time to time (the “European Account Regions”).

 

4.3 Southeast Asian Account Regions

The countries or regions supported by the account service offered by Alipay Merchant Services Pte. Ltd. from time to time (the “Southeast Asian Account Regions”).

 

4.4 Australia and New Zealand Account Regions

The countries or regions supported by the account service offered by World First Pty Ltd from time to time (the “Australia and New Zealand Account Regions”).

 

5. WorldFirst New User’s Reward

5.1 The “WorldFirst New User’s Reward” refers to the Vouchers (as defined below).

5.2 A New User may be eligible to receive the WorldFirst New User’s Reward, provided that such person satisfies the applicable conditions set out below and successfully passes WorldFirst’s review process.

5.3 WorldFirst reserves the right at all times to determine, in its sole discretion, that a person (i) is not eligible to receive the WorldFirst New User’s Reward, (i) is not eligible to participate in this Promotion, and/or (iii) to otherwise disqualify a person from participating in this Promotion, for any reason. This includes, without limitation, where WorldFirst has knowledge of or can reasonably conclude, at any time during or after the Promotion Period, that the relevant person has committed acts or omitted to carry out acts that would disqualify that person from participating in the Promotion or receiving WorldFirst New User’s Reward (this may include, for example, where the relevant registration or transactions of such person are incomplete, reversed or refunded).

5.4 WorldFirst shall not be liable to any person for disqualifying such person from participating in the Promotion, and/or from receiving any WorldFirst New User’s Reward. WorldFirst further reserves the right to claw back the WorldFirst New User’s Reward or to deduct the value of the WorldFirst New User’s Reward from a New User’s World Account.

 

6. Vouchers

6.1 The following shall apply to the Vouchers:

a. A New User who has successfully opened a World Account with WorldFirst may be eligible to receive Vouchers.

b. An eligible New User shall be issued the Vouchers within three (3) working days of it satisfying the relevant conditions and successfully passing WorldFirst’s review process.

c. An eligible New User may use up to ten (10) Vouchers from this Promotion, subject to availability.

d. A Voucher is valid from the date on which it is applied, up until and including 31 December 2024

e. Vouchers may only be used by eligible WorldFirst customers.

f. A voucher (a “Voucher”) may be used to waive the WorldFirst service fee payable on a same-currency withdrawal or transfer (i.e., a withdrawal or transfer transaction where the WorldFirst customer has chosen the same currency for both the sending currency and the receiving currency) (a “same-currency withdrawal/transfer”) or a cross-currency withdrawal or transfer (i.e., a withdrawal or transfer transaction where the WorldFirst customer has chosen a different currency for the sending currency as the receiving currency) (a “cross-currency withdrawal/transfer”).

g.Only one (1) Voucher may be applied per same-currency withdrawal/transfer or cross-currency withdrawal/transfer.

h. Vouchers are not refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

i. Vouchers are not available for use on mobile applications and may only be redeemed via computer (PC).

 

7. Further Terms Applicable to New Users in the Relevant Countries and Regions

7.1 WorldFirst reserves the right to, in its sole discretion, determine and/or decide all matters relating to or arising in connection with the Promotion. Any such determination and/or decision will be final and binding.

7.2 The foreign exchange (“FX”) rate that WorldFirst provides in connection with any FX transactions must comply with applicable laws and regulations. Therefore, WorldFirst cannot guarantee that the final FX rate it provides will always reflect any discount ranges described in the Promotion or any marketing materials prepared for the Promotion.

7.3 To the extent permitted by applicable law, WorldFirst reserves the right to amend the terms of the Promotion, and/or to suspend or cancel the Promotion at any time, without liability to any party. Any amendments to the Promotion will be published on the Promotion webpage (if applicable) and notified to New Users in an appropriate manner.

7.4 Persons participating in the Promotion shall bear all expenses arising from and/or in connection with participating in the Promotion.

7.5 All the prevailing terms and conditions governing the relevant World Account shall apply (collectively, the “World Account Terms“) to a New User and are to be read together with these Terms and Conditions. Please refer to the World Account Terms for further information. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any of the World Account Terms, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail only to the extent of matters relating to the Promotion. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any terms set out in any marketing materials prepared for the Promotion, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail. While all information provided herein is believed to be correct and reliable at the time of printing or publishing or posting online, WorldFirst makes no representation or warranty, whether expressed or implied, and accepts no responsibility or reliability for its completeness or accuracy.

7.6 To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, under no circumstances will WorldFirst or any of its affiliates be liable under any theory of tort, contract, strict liability or other legal or equitable theory for lost profits, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, each of which is excluded by agreement of WorldFirst and you regardless of whether such damages were foreseeable or whether WorldFirst or any person has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Notwithstanding anything in these Terms and Conditions to the contrary, WorldFirst’s cumulative liability, including for claims, expenses, damages or indemnity obligations under or in connection with its obligations under these Terms and Conditions, the Promotion and/or the Vouchers, will not exceed USD$500,000. In no event shall WorldFirst, its affiliates, agents, representatives, directors, officers, or employees be liable for any act or omission resulting from circumstance beyond their reasonable control. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you hereby waive any and all rights to bring any claim or action related to this Promotion and/or the Vouchers beyond one (1) year from the first occurrence of the act, event, condition or omission on which such claim or action is based.

7.7 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of incorporation of the relevant World First entity that offers the account service in the Relevant Countries and Regions in which the relevant New User is registered. For the avoidance of doubt, this would be (a) the laws of England and Wales, where the New User is registered in the United Kingdom Account Regions, (b) the laws of the Netherlands, where the New User is registered in the European Account Regions, (c) the laws of Singapore, where the New User is registered in the Southeast Asian Account Regions, and (d) the laws of Australia, where the New User is registered in the Australia and New Zealand Account Regions.
