Keen readers of the Sunday Times will have noticed that we placed eleventh in the annual Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200– the definitive list of Britain’s mid-market private companies with the fastest-growing international sales, measured over the latest two years of available accounts.

WorldFirst is the highest placed financial services business for a second year after another fantastic period of international growth and expansion. Over the past year, we’ve expanded our operations in Europe opening an office in Amsterdam and launched a new service for online sellers trading in Japan.

A typical international track company has total sales of £25m-200m, average two-year international sales growth of 15%-340% p.a. and has between 10-1,000 members of staff.

Other leading businesses on the list this year include Caffe Nero, Brewdog, Raph and Skyscanner. Former successful entrants include Markit and Specsavers.

We recently announced plans to launch World Account– an international payments platform for SMEs and online sellers designed to help businesses overcome the hurdles and costs of buying and selling across borders.
