At WorldFirst, we know first-hand that building an international business can be full of challenges, long hours, and setbacks. But we also know just how worth it all of the hard work is.

Back in 2004, we were one of the first to identify that international payments for SMEs were unnecessarily slow, complicated and expensive. Since then, we’ve made it our mission to develop an alternative to traditional banks that businesses could trust.

15 years on, we’re still combining award-winning customer service with best-in-class technology and products to make it easier, faster and cheaper for exporters to send and manage their money around the world. It’s why more than 400,000 global customers choose WorldFirst. Our latest product, the World Account, was even created with exporters in mind, enabling them to collect, convert and make global payments from one simple platform, available online or via the mobile app 24/7.

Now, as part of our mission to build the world’s best platform for global trade, we are delighted to be sponsoring The Sunday Times WorldFirst SME Export Track 100 for 2019.

What is The Sunday Times SME Export Track?

Produced by Fast Track for The Sunday Times, the SME Export Track 100 is just one of seven definitive league tables recognising British businesses for their successful growth internationally. To achieve a ranking in any of these tables is a huge achievement. In the past decade, WorldFirst has been proud to feature ten times in various Fast Track tables published by The Sunday Times.

It is, therefore, a huge honour to now be working with The Sunday Times for this year’s edition of the SME Export Track 100. Known as the definitive list of Britain’s small and medium-sized (SME) companies with the fastest growing international sales over the latest two years, this particular league table holds a special place in our hearts. After all, we began our journey with a goal to help SME’s by providing international payments solutions to aid their global ambitions.

Congratulations to all who featured! We wish you the very best success as you continue to grow.

Jonathan Quin, CEO and co-founder of WorldFirst, commented:

“At WorldFirst, we would like to be the first to congratulate all of the businesses that feature on this year’s Top 100. International markets present tremendous opportunities for UK businesses and the rewards of being a successful exporter are clear from the growth demonstrated by all of the businesses here. That said, there are challenges and risks too and so we should also recognise the brave and committed leadership that has got them to this point.”
