Refunds

We recommend you keep the funds on your World First MasterCard® Prepaid Currency Card for the next time you go away, but if you wish to cancel your card or remove the funds from it there is a fee of £10.

Requesting a refund

To request a refund please contact us on currencycards@worldfirst.com, we will contact you to confirm the approximate amount you will receive, and that you wish to proceed with the refund. We will credit the card you used to pay us, or send the money back to the account you paid us from. We will process your refund as soon as possible but please note that we don't work over the weekend, so if you email us during this time we'll deal with it first thing the next working day.

A cheaper way to withdraw funds

A cheaper way to withdraw the money on your card may be to withdraw it from an ATM, which will cost the ATM fee (as listed in the fee table) plus the cross border fee (2.5%). Unfortunately, the cross border fee will apply because you will be withdrawing the cash in the UK and your card will be either a EUR or USD card, and it's really designed to be used in the Eurozone or the USA.
