HTML/PHP/CSS Front End Developer

The World First ICT team is looking to expand its desk with an established Web Developer with 2+ years commercial experience to assist in the development of our websites and online marketing. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join a 10-person strong department at one of the most innovative and fastest growing foreign exchange companies in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the IT and Marketing teams with the rapid development of new sites and modules.
• Providing day-to-day management and maintenance of the sites.

Skills and experience required:

Essential skills include

Expert knowledge of :

• (X)HTML
• CSS (including CSS3)
• Photoshop

Good working knowledge of:

• PHP5
• jQuery JavaScript library including the use of AJAX techniques
• Cross browser compatibility and accessibility

Essential experience:

• Ability to work within a pre-existing team
• Extensive knowledge of web application development
• Proven skill in developing and managing maintainable code-bases
• Knowledge and experience of accessibility, usability and cross-browser issues
• Experience of working in an environment where products have to be delivered to specific time-scales
• Self motivated with good organisational skills in order to work to challenging deadlines
• Experience of supporting, modifying and maintaining systems and code which was developed by others
• An ability to rapidly and effectively understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions (desirable).

Other requirements:

1. UK/EU citizen or other visa with work permit (>1 year) in the UK.  Please do not apply if you do not have this.  We cannot make exceptions.

2. Excellent numeracy and literacy and good spoken English

3.Must be available to start working in our office in London within one month of accepting this role.

4.Applicants should provide 3 representative URLs of recent projects on which they were significantly involved accompanied by a description of their involvement.

Remuneration package:

£30,000-£45,000 per annum (commensurate with experience), plus an annual discretionary bonues
