Meet the management team

We’re one of the most experienced teams in foreign exchange. Even more importantly, we’re a
group of people who care and who’ll pull out all the stops to make sure you get the most from
your currency exchange.

Below you can put a face to the name of the World First management team.

 

Jonathan Quin

Managing Director

Jonathan co-founded World First in January 2004. His career before this included two years as Head of Business Development within the Financial Markets division of RBS. Prior to that he was at Citibank, initially as a trader before moving to the bank’s global corporate sales desk. He then looked after the European sales of Citibank's online FX trading products. Jonathan holds a law and accountancy degree from the University of Edinburgh.

Nick Robinson

Managing Director

Nick co-founded World First in January 2004. He joined Citibank on the UK Corporate Foreign Exchange desk and looked after a large client group including many FTSE 100 companies. After this, he joined Credit Agricole Indosuez to launch their UK Corporate foreign exchange and interest rate hedging business. He most recently spent two years setting up our Australian office in Sydney. Nick holds a business and French degree from Reading University.

Sir David Clementi

Chairman

Sir David joined World First as senior adviser in 2006 and is now chairman. He is also currently chairman of Kings Cross Central and a director of The Royal Opera House. His previous roles include chairman of Prudential plc and director of Rio Tinto plc. In addition he was Deputy Governor of the Bank of England from 1997 to 2002 and was also chief executive of Kleinwort Benson. He is a graduate of Oxford University and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Jabu Henson

Chief Operating Officer

Jabu is Chief Operating Officer. He joined World First in 2004, having had a diverse range of experience at various companies. He is a fully qualified commercial airline pilot, holds a BSc in Financial Economics from the University of London and holds an MBA from Cass Business School.

Alex Sullivan

Corporate Director

Alex is our corporate director and is responsible for World First's 7000+ corporate clients and 500+ partners worldwide. Alex has over a decade of experience looking after clients and has grown his team to over 40 people, one of the largest in the industry. Alex is FSA registered and can advise and transact all foreign exchange products, including currency options.

Anna Rennie

Finance Manager

Anna manages the Finance Team. She joined World First in 2009 having previously worked in a London based Accountancy Firm. She is a graduate of The University of Manchester and is a qualified member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Elisabeth Dobson

Head of Private Clients and Partnerships

Elisabeth manages the Private Client Desk at World First and is responsible for over 27,000 private clients and 500+ partners worldwide. She joined World First in 2006, having previously worked as a client manager at Saatchi & Saatchi. Elisabeth speaks German and Spanish and has lived in both countries. She has a German and Business degree from the University of London.

Graham Stanton

Manager of Partnerships and Corporate Sales

Graham joined World First in 2007 in the corporate sales team. He has risen through the ranks to a senior advisor, then to Manager of the Corporate Sales team and now Manager of Partnerships and Corporate Sales. Previously Graham worked for a technology based Mergers and Acquisitions firm. He graduated from Nottingham University in 2003.

Jason Brankin

E-Commerce Manager

Jason heads up the Ecommerce desk. He joined World First in 2007 having previously worked in accountancy and financial services. He is a graduate of Seneca College in Toronto and the HBC Future Executive Program.

Jessica Giles

Business Change Manager

Jessica is the liaison between the IT department and the changing needs of the business. She rejoined World First in 2010, having previously managed the Finance department. She graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2005, with Honours in Finance, majoring in Economics and Accounting.

Karen Eisen

Marketing Director

Karen joined World First as Marketing Director in 2010. Karen has over 17 years of marketing experience. Her career began at Procter & Gamble where she spent six years working in brand management. She then transferred her skills to the tech sector where she worked in software marketing for seven years, before spending three years consulting for clients such as American Express and Autodesk. Karen has a Masters in Business Administration from the University of British Columbia in Canada.

Lynsey Dobbin

Payments Manager

Lynsey manages the Payments Team. She joined World First in 2006 having previously worked for HSBC and graduated from Queen's University, Belfast, with a BA Joint Honours in French and Spanish. She also holds qualifications from the University of Stendhal-Grenoble and the University of Malaga.

Marc Bertrand

Compliance Manager

Marc manages the compliance team and oversees the creation, implementation, administration and enforcement of compliance and quality assurance policies, procedures and activities required by the Group. He joined World First in 2007, having previously worked for 11 years in financial services first on behalf of Discovery and Momentum in South Africa, and then in the UK for the outsourcing contact centre specialist The Listening Company.

Millie Robinson

Human Resources Manager

Millie manages the HR Department. She joined World First in 2006 having previously worked for the charity Merlin and The Talent Business (formerly Kendall Tarrant). She is a graduate of Newcastle University.

Billy Davies

Head of ICT

Billy manages ICT at World First. He joined as a software developer in 2007 following on from a spell as a developer at the Brick Lane based digital agency LBi where he worked on big brand websites such as Lloyds TSB, Centrica and House of Fraser. During his time at World First he has overseen the build and delivery of World First Online, World First's web based trading platform. He holds a Masters in Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Bristol.

Sara Cass

Operations Manager

Sara is the Operations Manager. She joined World First in 2006, having previously worked in the Building Products and Geotechnical Engineering industries. Sara speaks French, Spanish and some German. She is a qualified PRINCE2 Practitioner, holds a BSc in Geology from Imperial College London and is currently studying for a Modern Languages degree with the Open University.

Theo Papathanasiou

Manager, World Markets

Theo looks after Greek private and corporate clients. He is also part of our FX Options Structuring Group. He joined World First in 2009 having previously worked on Citibank’s Institutional Foreign Exchange sales desk for six years. Theo holds an engineering degree from Imperial College, an MSc in Finance from Cass Business School and is fully FSA certified.
