The Environment

We set out to work in the most sustainable ways possible. We recycle everything from paper to plastic and aluminium, and where possible we use recycled materials. Our working practices are designed to be environmentally sound too. The amount of paper we use is massively reduced through electronic trading, online registration and email payment confirmations. The Information and Communication Technology department has introduced "virtualisation" and we have light sensors so rooms that aren’t in use are not lit. 

We’ve signed up to 10:10, a project designed to unite every sector of British society behind one simple idea: that by working together we can achieve a 10% cut in the UK’s carbon emissions in 2010. As part of our commitment to 10:10 we will continue to switch to greener, more sustainable practices where possible. Even changing our food supplier to a more local, carbon efficient option helps cut our carbon footprint. Our air conditioning use has been cut drastically, more energy efficient kettles, hand driers and dishwashers have been brought in and we have an account with the world’s first plug-in hybrid taxi company.
